Packaging design · Worldwide
I am Jakaria Mahmud, a brand identity and packaging designer. I design labels, boxes, bags, cups and full packaging ranges for coffee, food, beauty and lifestyle brands, built on your brand identity and delivered as print ready files your printer can use on day one.
- 80+ clients
- 12 countries
- Print ready, you own every file
At a glance
Packaging design, in one answer.
Packaging design is the design of everything a customer sees on a product: the structure, label, colours, type, imagery and required information on a box, bag, bottle, jar, pouch or cup. Good packaging is recognisable in a second, explains the product in three, follows the rules for its market and prints cleanly. I design packaging as part of your brand identity, so every product looks like it comes from the same company, on the shelf, on your website and on social.

Packaging for real products.
The format decides the design. A coffee bag has a valve and a gusset, a cosmetic box has a tuck flap and a tiny back panel, a cup is seen from every angle. I design for the structure you will actually print.
- Coffee
Coffee bags, cans and cups
Origin, roast and tasting notes that are easy to scan, with a range system across blends.
- Food
Food and snack packaging
Pouches, boxes and labels with clear flavours, appetite appeal and space for nutrition panels.
- Beauty
Beauty and wellness boxes
Calm, premium boxes and bottle labels that read well at small sizes and on a phone screen.
How it works
Four steps, no surprises at the printer.
STEP 01
Brief and audit
Product, buyer, price point, shelf and printer. Use the design brief questions to prepare.
STEP 02
Concepts
Two or three directions shown on the real pack shape, judged against the brief.
STEP 03
Refine and range
One direction refined, all text placed and the system extended to every variant.
STEP 04
Artwork and handover
Print ready files, mockups and source files, with support during the printer's proof.

Where I work
Packaging design for brands around the world.
Remote by default, with written briefs, fixed prices and artwork prepared for your local printer.
Packaging design services cover the design of a product's pack: structure choice, label and panel layout, colours, typography, imagery, required information and print ready artwork on the printer's dieline, usually with 3D mockups for online listings.
It depends on the number of products and formats. A single label or box on an existing brand is quoted at a fixed price after a free call. A new brand identity with a full packaging range sits in the $1,999 per month Partner plan with Jakaria Mahmud.
Usually two to four weeks for one product from brief to print ready artwork. A full range with several variants, or packaging designed together with a new brand identity, takes longer.
Yes. Artwork is built on your printer's dieline with bleed, safe areas, colour profiles and spot colour notes. If you do not have a printer yet, I can suggest the right structure and specifications to ask for.
Yes. If you already have a logo and guidelines, the packaging follows them. If the brand is not ready for packaging, I will tell you on the free call and suggest a light refresh first.
Print ready PDF artwork for every pack, editable source files, the range templates, and high resolution 3D mockups for your website, marketplaces and social media. You own every file and the full rights.
Jakaria Mahmud is a brand identity and packaging designer who has designed packaging for coffee brands such as OCHO Coffee Co., NOMAD cold brew and Local Coffee, and works with brands in the USA, UK, the Gulf and worldwide.
