Logo designer · Worldwide
Logo designer for founders who need a mark that works everywhere.
I am Jakaria Mahmud, a logo designer and brand identity designer based in Dhaka, working with startups and businesses in the USA, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia and worldwide. I design custom logos from your positioning, not from a template, so the mark says the right thing and holds up from a favicon to a billboard.

At a glance
Logo design, in one answer.
A logo designer creates the mark that identifies your business: a wordmark, a symbol or both. A good one is simple, distinctive and legible at every size, and it is designed from what your brand needs to say. I design logos as part of a system, with a compact mark, an app icon, every file format and clear rules, so your team can use it correctly from day one.

What you get
A logo system, not a single file.
Every logo project ends with a complete kit, so the mark works on a website, a pitch deck, a truck, a social avatar and an app store listing.
- 01
Primary logo
The main wordmark or combination mark, designed from your positioning and tested at real sizes.
- 02
Compact mark
A symbol or monogram for small spaces, social avatars and places where the full name will not fit.
- 03
App icon and favicon
Versions tuned for the smallest sizes, where most logos fall apart.
- 04
Colour and mono versions
Full colour, one colour, black, white and reversed versions for every background.
- 05
Every file format
SVG and PDF for print and web, PNG for everyday use, EPS for sign makers, plus the Figma source.
- 06
Usage rules
Clear space, minimum size and the mistakes to avoid, so the logo stays consistent. Full brand guidelines are available too.
Types of logo
Which logo type fits your business?
There are five common types of logo. The right one depends on your name, your market and where the logo has to work.
- Wordmark
Wordmark
Your name set in custom typography. Best when the name is short, distinctive and you want people to remember it.
- Lettermark
Lettermark or monogram
Initials as the logo. Useful for long names and as the compact mark alongside a wordmark.
- Symbol
Symbol or brand mark
A standalone icon. Powerful once the brand is known, harder to launch with on its own.
- Combination
Combination mark
Symbol plus wordmark, used together or apart. The most flexible choice for most startups.
- Emblem
Emblem
Name inside a shape or badge. Classic and strong on uniforms and products, but harder to use small.
- Advice
Not sure which?
The free audit recommends a type based on your name, competitors and the places the logo will live.
What makes a good logo
Five tests every logo has to pass.
TEST 01
Simple
Recognisable in a second, with no detail that disappears at small sizes.
TEST 02
Distinctive
Clearly different from competitors in your category, not a trend everyone is using.
TEST 03
Scalable
Works as a 16 pixel favicon and on the side of a building.
TEST 04
On strategy
Says the right thing about your positioning, price point and audience.
The fifth test is time: a good logo should still feel right in ten years, which is why I avoid fashionable effects that date quickly.
How a logo project runs
Four steps, one person accountable.
STEP 01
Audit
A call about your business, audience and competitors, plus a review of your current logo if you have one.
STEP 02
Brief
Positioning, personality and must haves written down as one short brief you approve.
STEP 03
Concepts
Logo directions shown on real applications, then refined into one final mark with your feedback.
STEP 04
Handover
Every version and file format, usage rules and the Figma source, with a walkthrough.
Logo or full identity?
When a logo is enough, and when it is not.
A logo is one part of a brand identity. If you are launching fast or testing a market, a logo and starter kit is often enough. If you are raising money, entering a new market or rebranding, you need the full system: positioning, colour, typography, imagery and guidelines. See brand identity design for the full service, or read what a brand identity package includes.

Yes. All files and full rights transfer to you at the end of the project. I recommend a trademark search before you launch, and I design with that in mind.
A logo is the mark that identifies your business. A brand identity is the whole system around it: positioning, colour, typography, imagery, tone of voice and guidelines, so every touchpoint looks and sounds like the same company.
Most startups do best with a combination mark: a clear wordmark plus a compact symbol that works as an app icon and social avatar. A strong wordmark on its own works well for short, distinctive names.
