The problem
A burger brand has to look as bold as its food.
Mr. Branky's serves smash burgers, crispy chicken, fries and cold soda, with the line "Smash, eat & repeat".
The brand had to feel fun and confident on a busy street and stay clear on small items such as cups, stickers and app icons.

The solution
A script wordmark, a burger mascot and three colours.
The Mr. Branky's wordmark is a bold, hand drawn script with a small "Mr." above it, paired with a smiling burger mascot in sunglasses and a round badge with a flag mark.
The palette is Vermilion (#F21C32), Warm cream (#F7EED8) and Soft black (#171410), with a red and cream checkered pattern taken from classic diners.

The result
One identity, from the menu board to the takeaway bag.
The brand guidelines cover the logo and clear space, colour palette, typography, mascot and brand applications.
Applications include a menu board, cups, burger bags, kraft paper bags, posters such as "Smash hour." and "Bad place for diet.", "The Repeat Club" loyalty card, t-shirts, a phone wallpaper and social media posts.

Restaurant and food branding: what this project shows
Lessons for restaurants, food brands and hospitality businesses.
Mr. Branky's is a burger restaurant and fast casual food project by Jakaria Mahmud, a senior brand identity designer working with clients in the USA, UK, Europe and Australia. The work covered logo, mascot, colour palette, typography, brand guidelines.
Food brands live on menus, bags, cups, boxes, signs and phones. The identity has to make people hungry at a glance, stay readable on small packaging and feel the same in the street, at the table and in a delivery bag.
What other restaurant and food brands can take from it:
- A logo that works on cups, bags, boxes and signage
- Colour and type that stand out on a menu and a crowded social feed
- Packaging, loyalty and print that keep every order on brand
